If new ductwork is needed, add $4,000–$10,000; coastal Miami and Fort Lauderdale homes run about 10–20% higher. SEER2 figures are the manufacturer's "up to" ratings and depend on the matched indoor coil. No sales tax — you're buying an installed system.
Ductless
Mini-splits cool one room at a time, with no ductwork — ideal for additions, garages and older homes. Mitsubishi Electric or Daikin, priced per zone.
Package units
A package unit holds the compressor, coil and blower in a single outdoor cabinet — common on Florida slabs, rooftops and manufactured homes.
Water-source heat pumps

No. Reserving online is free. You pay only after the in-home assessment, once you've approved your exact price in writing — and if the price doesn't work for you, you owe nothing.
Every home is different. The price covers a standard replacement of the system you pick. New ductwork, electrical upgrades or a coastal installation can add to it — we tell you exactly how much, in writing, before any work.
In Florida, an installed central AC system is an improvement to your home, not a retail purchase, so you aren't charged sales tax on it.
Every brand here is reliable. The bigger differences are between the levels: single stage is the simplest and least expensive, two stage is quieter and steadier, and variable speed is the most efficient and comfortable. We'll recommend the right match at your assessment.
